My Story

Hi, I’m Rylie Duncan!

A lot has changed since I first wrote this.

I’m still a California girl at heart, but Oklahoma became one of the most important chapters of my life. I moved across the country, became an Oklahoma State Cowboy, built friendships I’ll carry forever, grew Hide and Stoned in ways I never imagined, and somewhere along the way, completely lost—and eventually found—myself.

College challenged me more than I ever expected. Between school, work, building a business, internships, relationships, and trying to figure out what I was supposed to do with my life, I experienced burnout in every sense of the word.

There was a point where I genuinely did not know who I was, what I was doing, or where my life was headed.

And then came August 2024.

Matthew 17:20

“Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”

That season changed my life forever.

It was when I truly began finding my life in Christ, but it was also when I started finding Rylie again.

Through Him, I found strength in seasons that felt impossible, grace for the parts of myself I was still figuring out, and the courage to stop trying to become who I thought I was supposed to be.

For the first time, I began to understand that my identity wasn’t supposed to come from a degree, a job, a relationship, a business, a city, or anyone else’s expectations for my life.

Today, that lesson means even more.

I’ve officially graduated from Oklahoma State University, packed up another chapter of my life, and somehow found myself back in California—this time building a life in Los Angeles. What started as an internship turned into a full-time career in the fashion industry, and through every unexpected turn, I’ve continued to feel God reminding me that His plans are so much bigger than the ones I could have created for myself.

And through all of it, Hide and Stoned has remained one of the biggest pieces of me.

What started when I was just a girl making jewelry has grown right alongside me.

And now, more than ever, I feel called to bring Hide and Stoned to everyone.

This brand isn’t about simply putting on another accessory.

Hide and Stoned is about wearing something that feels like you.

It’s about individuality, confidence, creativity, imperfection, evolution, and becoming the person you were always meant to be—without losing the weird, wild, beautiful pieces of yourself along the way.

Every piece I create is meant to help you express yourself a little louder, feel a little more confident, and make whatever you’re wearing completely your own.

Because if there is one thing the last few years have taught me, it’s that becoming yourself isn’t a one-time destination.

I’m still growing.

I’m still figuring things out.

I’m still dreaming bigger than I probably should.

I’m still building Hide and Stoned.

And most importantly, I’m still following the Man Upstairs one day at a time.

This is Hide and Stoned’s next chapter.

And I have a feeling we’re only getting started.
